Computational Fluid Dynamics
Required input data is collected to allow a first evaluation through CFD. The most suitable Energy Saving Devices for each case vessel are presented in a preliminary energy-saving report.
2. SBD OPTIMIZATION
Simulation-Based Design
Once the energy efficiency improvement solution is decided, the design is tailored to the specific needs and operating profile of the vessel through SBD process for optimal benefit.
3. MODEL TESTS
Deep Water Tank Validation
The final ESD design is fabricated at scale alongside the case vessel’s complete hull model. Our experienced principals CSSRC commence deep water towing tank tests, validating performance for Class approval.
4. PRODUCTION
Class-Approved Manufacturing
All products are fabricated using the highest quality materials and delivered in the shortest timeframe available in the market. All Energy Saving Devices receive structural certification from Class Society before delivery.
5. INSTALLATION
On-Site Engineering Supervision
Products are delivered to the designated shipyard ready for installation. Our experienced engineers supervise on-site to ensure proper application. Trail-edge trimming is performed in situ per Class-approved drawings.
6. VERIFICATION
Performance Verification
Based on sailing records, vessel performance is analyzed to obtain the actual energy saving effect. The EEXI Technical File and RightShip GHG Rating is updated as per Model Test results to include the ESD energy saving effect.

The required input data are being collected to allow a first evaluation through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Hence, the most suitable Energy Saving Devices (ESD) for each case vessel are presented in a preliminary energy-saving report allowing to proceed with the final decision.From simple inspections to full engine rebuilds, our teams can always deliver upon clients request. By the time the energy efficiency improvement solution is decided, the design will be tailored to the specific needs and operating profile of the vessel. Hence, through the Simulation-Based Design (SBD) process the ESDs are optimized to optimally benefit the case vessel.

The final Energy Saving Device design is then fabricated at a scale along with the case vessel’s complete hull model. Thus, allowing our experienced Principals to commence with deep water towing tank tests. In this regard, the enhanced vessel performance is validated and the ESD benefit is completely approved by the Classification Society in the EEXI Technical File.

The products are delivered at the designated shipyard ready for installation depending on size. To ensure proper application of the ESDs and therefore optimal benefits, a supervision team of experienced engineers will attend on site. In the case of Propeller trail edge trimming, our team will perform the modification in situ as per the class approved drawings.

Based on the sailing records, the vessel’s performance is analyzed to obtain the actual energy saving effect of the vessel once the data will be adequate for evaluation. In the meantime, the EEXI Technical File and Rightship GHG Rating is updated as per the Model Test results to include the ESD energy saving effect.
