Optimizing Vessel Performance with Energy-Saving Technologies
MAST Maritime Services S.A. in cooperation with their exclusive Principals CSSC Shanghai Marine Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd. (CMES-Tech) held a seminar session for the Greek Shipping community during the POSIDONIA 2024 in Athens on June 6, 2024, followed by an open discussion at the exhibition booth to foster greater interest in energy efficiency improvement, familiarize the participants with the new technological advancements and provide a forum to exchange views on the decarbonisation plan of the industry.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to share valuable insights and discussions on the latest advancements of hydrodynamic energy-saving devices and innovative technologies in the maritime industry.
Moderated by Prof. Simone Mancini (Hydro Consultant, Force Technolgy & Ass. Prof, University of Naples Federico II)
The contributions from our distinguished speakers – Prof. Huang Guofu (General Manager, CMES-Tech), Mr. Theo Kourmpelis (Strategic Business Partner, Lloyd’s Register), and Mr. Stylianos Papageorgiou (Managing Director, Lomar Labs) – provided a comprehensive overview of the current trends and future directions in vessel performance optimization.
Mr. Stylianos Papageorgiou got into insights on their applications and actions to optimize the vessel’s performance with technologies of Prof. Huang and CMES-Tech. Moreover, Mr. Kourmpelis expanded on the future trends and direction that the industry is heading.
In the meantime, Prof. Mancini, addressed the speakers with concrete and bullseye questions which were either relieving or troublemaking for the Shipowners and managers in the room.
Attendees proved the seminar to be informative and beneficial for their endeavours since the Q&A session held the room until the start of the next occupant while it continued through the MAST MS booth at the POSIDONIA 2024 Exhibition.
As we continue to strive for excellence in the maritime industry, your feedback is invaluable to us. For any additional information, resources, or follow-up discussions, feel free to contact us at info@mastms.gr.
