MAST Maritime Services S.A. proudly participated in the great maritime celebration. Namely, Posidonia 2022 initiate in Greece and fascinates the whole world.

MAST”s participation aimed to be a tribute to the Greek shipping, as well as to the important presence of the company as one of the most trustworthy service providers nationally.

Posidonia 2022, the world’s most prestigious biennial shipping event welcomed back the global maritime community. Following the pandemic-induced cancellation of the 2020 event. A total of 2,000 exhibitors from 88 countries and 24 National Pavilions from Europe, North America, and Asia displayed their products and showcased their maritime credentials to thousands of visitors from all around the world.

At the MAST booth, some of the company’s exclusive partners had the opportunity to attend, providing bold and fruitful outcomes. The Kuzey Star Shipyard team co-participated in the exhibition, honoring the numerous years of successful cooperation. Representation of Headway Technology Group was also there since MAST is the exclusive agent for the innovative developments of the Qingdao company. Nonetheless, attendees from Marine Shaft enriched the booth, in view of their recently signed agreement.

Posidonia Running Event 2022

The 3rd Posidonia Running Event took place on Sunday 5 June 2022, in Piraeus, the country’s largest port. Specifically, 1,800 runners representing the international maritime community joined forces for a good cause and enjoyed a day of fun!

Considering the continuous participation of the MAST team in sports events, the 2022 Posidonia Running Event was a no-brainer. Hence, offering even more excitement and networking opportunities.

Proceeds of the race will again be donated to the Municipality of Piraeus, the Public Benefit Municipal Corporation of Piraeus, and other organizations.

Decarbonization Seminar in Posidonia

MAST Maritime Services, organized and offered the opportunity to attend the seminar: Get in line with the industry’s decarbonization plan. Hence, along with Lloyd’s Register, Rightship and CMES-Tech they enlightened the paths to a more sustainable future according to the new measures (EEXI, CII).

Decarbonization of the world fleet is one of the biggest challenges today. Therefore, EEXI and CII have been set to drastically minimize the carbon footprint. 
It is not incorrect that the new measures will influence the technical and therefore the operational profile of the vessels. Having said this, we can’t ignore the fact that, Shipowners are bouncing from one solution to another without a stable plan. 

In this regard and in order to address the matter, the seminar incorporated speakers from; a Classification society, a 3rd party Maritime Organisation and an Energy Saving Technology developing company.
